Autumn Leaves ...

Welcome back to all our returning families and to our new families we welcome you to Cecchetti Dance Theatre.

The upcoming 2005/2006 season promises to be more exciting than ever. The Faculty of CDT is already working hard in preparation for the upcoming months including our annual Christmas Performance and Christmas Tea.

Classes are now underway. Please feel free to observe your child's class and discuss any questions you may have about the program. As part of our school philosophy, we are here to work with you and your child. On behalf of CDT thank you for your support and have a great year!

Nutcracker Auditions
Mice, Soldiers & Party Children needed! Sunday, September 25th, Alberta Ballet will be holding its auditions for Nutcracker. If you are 10 years old or older, between 4ft 6in and 5ft 4in and would like to audition for a chance to perform at the Jubilee Auditorium with a professional ballet company please see your ballet teacher for more information.

Royal Winnipeg Ballet
Auditions for the Royal Winnipeg Ballet will be held on Tuesday, October 12th at Dance Alberta. The Faculty of RWB will also be offering Master Classes for students 10 years old and up. If you are interested in attending the classes or the auditions please contact your ballet teacher for more information.

Swan Lake
CDT is very proud of the following students who will be taking part in the National Ballet's Swan Lake at the refurbished Jubilee Auditorium. Hana Golightly, Meghan Rozmahel, Maryn Rolfson and Madeleine Younghusband will perform in both performances. Bravo!!!

Jazz Class
In October we would like to offer a Junior Jazz Introductory program for our students 7-9. This class would run for shorter sessions and would be a great way to introduce the children to a different dance style. The class would be taught by our own Tiffin Fischer. Information letters will be sent home in the next class. For more information please call the studio at 233-2232.

Parking
Parking for the TransAlta Arts Barns is north of the building next to the tram lines. Parking passes are required, please ensure you have your parking pass displayed for the staff to see. Parking tickets will be issued to cars that do not have a parking pass. If you are still requiring a parking pass please see your ballet teacher.

Giving Tree
This is a new segment of the newsletter where we will be asking for donations of house hold items that you may have lying around the house and no longer require. We will also be asking for volunteers for upcoming events, and if you have any free time and wish to help please let us know.

• Parent Volunteer for Second Hand dance wear

There has been a request to establish a used dance wear board or catalogue. I am hoping that a parent(s) would like to spear head this great idea. All families who would like to sell or require dance wear should contact the school with a written list of items. Perhaps anyone interested in joining forces with the school would contact us at 233-2232.
