Welcome Back ...
Welcome back to all our returning families and to our new families we welcome you to Cecchetti Dance Theatre Guild.
The upcoming 2006/2007 season promises to be more exciting than ever. With two performances on the schedule and the possibility of a school trip for the senior students in the spring, the school year will be busy with much hard work and a lot of fun!
Classes are now underway. Please feel free to observe your child's class and discuss any questions you may have about the program. As part of our school philosophy, we are here to work with you and your child. On behalf of CDT thank you for your support and have a great year!

Nutcracker Auditions
Mice, Soldiers & Party Children needed! Sunday, October 1st, Alberta Ballet will be holding its auditions for Nutcracker. If you are 10 years old or older, between 4 ft 6² and 5 ft 4² and would like to audition for a chance to perform at the Jubilee Auditorium with a professional ballet company please see your ballet teacher for more information.
Royal Winnipeg Ballet
Auditions for the Royal Winnipeg Ballet will be held on Thursday, October 12th at MarMac. The Faculty of RWB will also be offering Master Classes for students 10 years old and up. If you are interested in attending the classes or the auditions please contact your ballet teacher for more information.
National Ballet School
Auditions for the National Ballet School will be held on Thursday, October 12th at Lecky School of Dance. The Faculty of NBS will also be offering Master Classes for students 10 years old and up. If you are interested in attending the classes or the auditions please contact your ballet teacher for more information
Christmas Performance
Our first performance of the 2006-07 Season will be December 16th. The performance will commence at 2:00 p.m. and will be held at The Westbury Theatre. Tickets will go on sale November 25th.
Rehearsal schedules and details of the performance will come home at the end of October.

Parking
Parking for the TransAlta Arts Barns is north of the building next to the tram lines. Parking passes are required; please ensure you have your parking pass displayed for the staff to see. Parking tickets will be issued to cars that do not have a parking pass. If you are still requiring a parking pass please see your ballet teacher.

Great news on our used dancewear catalogue!
We are beginning to collect a number of items to be sold secondhand. Trish Lush will be updating the catalogue as items become available. All families who would like to add items to the catalogue should send their information to Trish including particulars such as brand, size and price. Those families interested or require dancewear should contact Trish at richardlush@shaw.ca and a written list of items will be electronically forwarded to you.
