Peter Pan & Wendy ...
We are very excited to announce the first performance of the season will be Peter Pan & Wendy. Production is already underway in both the costume and set departments.
Over the next month, notes about ticket sales and other information will be coming home. Remember, this year's Christmas Performance is a matinee!
Once again, we will require volunteers for backstage with the Junior School and parent volunteers for the Christmas Tea during intermission.
Photographs and videos will need to be confirmed at the next board meeting. As you know, we can not allow flash photography during the performance for safety reasons.
Also, for the continuing safety of all the students, we ask parents not to come backstage after the show and take photos. We realize this may be disappointing for families however CDT is looking into a solution that will satisfy everyone, including the staff and volunteers who are responsible for the children and the clean up of all the costumes.

Christmas Performance
Our performance of Peter Pan and Wendy will be December 16th. The performance will commence at 2:00 p.m. at The Westbury Theatre. Tickets will go on sale November 25th.
Rehearsal schedules and details of the performance will come home at the end of October.
Uniform
All students should now have acquired their specific uniform for their ballet classes. We have been informed that Tu the Pointe has had some difficulty with their suppliers for some of the colours. If you are still waiting for your order we can recommend other stores who do carry the uniform for the school.

Cecchetti Workshop
The Cecchetti Society of Canada/Alberta Branch will be hosting a Ballet Workshop on Sunday November 26th. These classes are for students in Level 1 to Intermediate Foundation. We are recommending all students at CDT to attend this workshop. The ballet classes will be taught by Susan Brooker, F.I.S.T.D., Cecchetti Examiner and Enrico Cecchetti Diploma and is currently residing in Connecticut. What an opportunity for the dancers in Edmonton!!! Also on the schedule there will be Character Classes for each level! The students will have the opportunity to study classical ballet with strength and epaulement as seen in the Mazurka or Czardas of the ballets! Brochures will be coming home so check those dance bags!

Interfear Festival
Every October the Interfear Festival is held at The TransAlta Arts Barns. In the past, this festival has affected the classes of CDT causing disruptions in the schedule. This year, we are happy to announce the schedule WILL NOT be affected. All classes will continue as normal during the week of October 23rd.

Help!!!
Here is a list of items CDT is in need for the production and costume departments.
• Styrofoam ( large pieces are better) for the building of Neverland and the crocodile
• Bed linen for 3 beds in the Nursery
• Floor length curtains for the window in the Nursery
• Fake foliage ( like Spider plants or house plants)
• Carpenters and painters (who just like to do things for fun especially crafts!)
• Sewers for simple patterns
AGM
The annual general meeting of the Guild will take place on Saturday, October 14th, time TBC. Please watch the bulletin board for more info.
