In like a lion ...
This month summer school and dance camp packages will be coming home!!!
Once again we are very excited to have Miss Evelyn Hart O.C., as our artist-in-residence for Stagecraft 2007. Joining our faculty this year will be Mr. Tyrell V. Rolle from Alvin Ailey in New York. Anyone who was lucky to see the company last month will know what a tremendous opportunity this will be for our dancers.
For our Dance Intensive Summer Camp we are very excited to welcome Krista Sutherland to our faculty. Krista will be teaching the jazz classes.
Both programs are very popular and we hope to see the students of CDT have the opportunity to work with such talented people. (In the newsletter you will find the biographies of our guest teachers.)
Examination forms came home the last week of February. Please complete the forms and return to the studio by March 10. (The complete examination package must be received by the Cecchetti Society of Canada by the deadline or we forfeit our examination dates!!)
If you have any questions about the examinations pleases talk directly to your ballet teacher.
The fall schedule is already in its first draft. We will be in residence at the TransAlta Arts Barns for the 2007-08 Season. Registration packages will be ready for pick up on May 1st. Our studio doors are always open, if you are wanting to know more about how your child is doing please speak to your teacher.
Now, I would like to extend my gratitude to the faculty staff members who have worked very hard this year with all the students. You are true to your art form and a pleasure to work with. Thank you.
Enjoy the sunshine everyone and hopefully we will see the daffodils soon.
Regards,
Margaret Dalwood
